How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Small (LIFE) Group
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. At a time designated by your group leader you can participate in the small group study.

Youth Ministry
Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, youth get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every student gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in youth instruction. The youth ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with students. Middle and high school youth meet in building B and the portable of the church.

Young Adults
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of our church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people. The group meets during Sunday School in the portable and Wednesday in the front of the sanctuary.

Women’s Group
Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several rooms of the church on Sunday morning and Wednesday night, are times of Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s Group
Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. Accountability groups consist of three men each. Accountability groups meet together as their schedules allow and keep in touch by email or phone.

Married Couples
Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. The church gives married couples the opportunity to growth together in faith during Sunday School under the direction of a church elder and on Wednesday night under the direction of the church pastor.

JOY (Just Older Youth)
Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-50 group of Friendship Community provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. The group gathers for lunch on the third Tuesday of each month.
