Jim is married to Rhonda Waters; they have two sons, Devon and Nate. Him earned a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Florida in 1994, Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002, and Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2009. Jim has been been in ministry more than 20 years. His hobbies include sports, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Jim has two favorite Bible verses that constantly remind him to keep looking to the glory of God. He believes it is easy to rest on past successes or stay trapped in past failures. Jim’s prayer is that he would continually seek a fresh relationship and movement of God’s Spirit at Friendship.

Barbara Vunkannon, Financial Secretary
Barbara was born on April 13, 1933. Her husband Bill is deceased; her children are Ron, Christ, Vicki, Lee, and Sue. After high school, Barbara attended college to study business. She has been involved in ministry for 27 years. Barbara loves to stay busy with projects and with helping others. She feels that her life is an open book; what you see is what you get! Barbara’s favorite Bible verse is Matthew 28:19b, “Jesus said, ‘And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.'” Barbara has felt God’s presence in her life through the death of her husband, parents, sister, and brother, as well as when she had surgery two times for cancer. Barbara identifies with the fact that God did not promise that we would never have trouble or trials, but He did promise to be with us through it all.
Sharmonie Riley, Administrative Assistant
Brian is married to Sharmonie and has two children, Anthony and Sean. He enjoys sports, fishing and spending time with family & friends. His passion is working with kids of all ages but especially Youth. “Let us not give up doing good, for at the proper time, you will reap a harvest, if you do not give up” Galatians 6:9. He uses this verse on a daily basis to realize that all things are in God’s timing. He prays every day that God can use him for His glory.
Sharmonie’s life verse is Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Sharmonie enjoys using the gifts God has given her to bless and serve others!
